The Division of Correspondance

In the Bureau of Organized Thankfulness

The DC's role is that of guardian and shelter -- it makes sure all correspondance is Thankful and kind. If something isn't kind or Thankful by mistake, the DC rectifies the error.

 A REMNINDER TO ALL WORKERS:

You must make a copy of the rectified version of any transcript you correct to  be sent to the Division of Archives. In addition, you must provide the DA  with either a copy of or the original unrectified file. You may not only do one  of these things. Thank you for your time, and always remember to be  Thankful.

Relax

It has come to our attention that some under our guidance -- and even those outside it -- fear about the effects and implications of ou presence. It is with that in mind that we assure you, dear reader: we are only  here to help. We fix typos, phrasing mistakes, poor translations, and issues of that ilk. Why, we once recieved this letter:
HeellZOo, MarCy
Howe is you're day goine? Meine is grate. I got a persent from bob, and it was filedd with daysees.
-luv, Mark
In accordance with our mission, we corrected it's errors and made it read as such:
Hello, Marcy
How is your day going? Mine is great: I got a present from Bob, and it was filled with daisies!
-- Love, Mark

As you can see, our corrections are entirely benign and focused on preserving the writer's original intent, which nonverbal communication can so easily warp. In this way, we act as editors and helpers, not liars or  censors. We know it can be hard to feel comfortable communicating naturally after all the changes we've been through recently, and we exist only to help you with this process.
Best wishes, the Division of Correspondance.
