The Division of Insurance

In the Bureau of Organized Thankfulness

The Division of Insurance has just one role: to ensure that everyone remains Organized and Thankful.

As you well know, the DI works to make certain that all people are Thankful, and that means heavy collaboration with other Divisions -- the DKV, especially, is a frequent partner of ours. This means that many manners realted to the DI may in fact be the workings of other Divisions, and vice versa. Please ake sure that you are at the right Division's webpage. A list of Division webpages can be found here.

Advice on Protocol to All Insurers

If an individual is not being Thankful, remember that it is your job to keep this from persisting. If the un-Thankfulness is a  one-time incident, report it to a Senior Insurer and fill out the proper paperwork with the Division of Archives. Everything will  be handled from there.

If, however, the issue persists, further action may need to be taken. First consider booking the un-Thankful individual an  appointement in the Relaxational Sauna for a period of a few minutes, the specifics of which will be determined on a case-by- case basis. Then, check the individual into a Rehabilitation Program, where they will learn to mold into Thankful society; you  will also file all appropriate paperwork at the Rehabilitation Program. Never book someone to visit the Relaxational Sauna  for more than fifteen minutes, as it puts unnecessary burden on Rehabilitation; consider a Relocation instead.

Relocation is the last resort when ensuring continued Thankfulness, as it sacrifices some level of personal Thankfulness on  behalf of the greater area's Thankfulness. A relocated individual is unlikely to be restored by any other method, and Relocating  them makes this fate almost certain. However, it protects those formerly in the proximity of the individual from prolonged un- Thankfulness, and is therefore sometimes necessary. Even still, Relocate sparingly: those Relocated never choose to return to  their former environments, even for a moment.
